Whats so special about Kunzum Pass?

Posted by Shuva Brata Deb (Bangalore, India) on 26 November 2016 in Landscape & Rural.

Kunzum Pass (La) is a high mountain pass in the Himalayas, which we had to cross during our road trip. Its at an altitude of 15000 ft. It has one of the treacherous roads on either side. Driving average speed goes down to 10kmph around here. Oxygen level is low and even a brisk walk was causing me to breathe heavy. Most people who visit the beautiful moon lake of Chandratal visit this place too.

All the vehicles go round this place as a sign of good luck and you always go around clockwise (always on left side).

Without the car, I would have misjudged the scale here and thought the road to be a path . . another addition to this amazing trip.
