Born on 1979, he has spent his childhood days in Nagaland, India. He graduated with a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications from Regional Engineering College (now called N.I.T.), Warangal in the year 2000.
As a hobby he started taking pictures started since his graduation days. He got very good practical exposure to the technical aspects of photography when he joined his college Photography club, using an 1+kg antique SLR camera which was all mechanical. His love for photography always existed since his schooling days where he used to read all the books in the library related to photography. Though he never understood what a number written against a photograph meant, but numbers like f/5.6, 1/60, ISO 200 mentioned in those tutorial books always excited him. Reading those books for 4-5 years and a lot of magazines gave him a lot of theoretical exposure to the art of photography. Buying an SLR camera was expensive and so he had to wait for 1 long year after getting first job after which he got himself a Canon EOS-300 SLR with lots of accessories and filters, all bought on one fine day which also caused a little debt in his pocket --- not to add that film photography was still taking a toll.
His main source of inspirations were the photographers and photos that he used to see in magazines like National Geographic and also in TV channels like Nat Geo/Animal Planet and Discovery. Many B/W pictures (even motion pictures) by Satyajit Ray/ Raghu Rai and films done by IIFT final year students have inspired him a lot. Photojournalists walking around the world taking pictures of places and people inspires him and he sees that as one of the finest way of connecting people around the world. He says, "A picture is just a click of the camera but a good picture is a certain moment of time that never repeats itself ever and capturing that particular moment forever on film gives a photographer the most satisfaction".
He is also listed at some popular photo-blog ranking sites like Coolphotoblogs, VFXY and photoblogs.org .
Some of my high quality stock pictures are up for sale at Istockphoto.
Apart from photography he also loves good food and wine, likes to cook at times too. His dreams include visiting the Serengeti and Antarctica once in his life time.//
