Travelling alone

Posted by Shuva Brata Deb (Bangalore, India) on 23 May 2008 in Transportation.

This is a shot from my archive. It was in 2005 at Atlanta when I used to go on long drives alone. It was also when I had newly purchased my first DSLR.
Yesterday's post was also from this series and so are the coming few days shots.

Simple composition ... the processing is well done. When I lived in ATL, I used to go for long walks alone. I'd be the only person on the sidewalk for miles and I 'd get the strangest looks from motorists. I'd go off-path, diving into forests and coming out the other side in someone's backyard. I'd walk all day and I loved it. I once walked for over 4 miles at night along I-285 carrying my bass guitar in hand because the tire of my old Volvo exploded in the middle of the highway. Good times in Atlanta.

Very smooth processing here . . almost promotional! I dare not tot up how much time I've spent in cars but they have lost their attraction to me and I now prefer to walk. I see so much more walking!

Wicked lighting in this one, I agree with Ronnie, could be for an advertisment!
