@ColNed Pictures: Yeah, I have been dreaming of buying a huge telephoto lens, but they are damm costly. It was much far away than what you see. I have posted a cropped version.

You need that 500mm/f4 IS canon lens!
Birds are tough to capture because they can be small and move fast. Even big birds like this one can be difficult to get a good composition. I suggest that until you can afford the big lens you should attempt to paint your self in camouflage and hide in the brush where these birds forage for food. It may take a few days but you should be able to catch a sharp close shot before they peck your eyes to protect their young :P
