The shy girl.

I dont know what goes through your mind, when you see pictures of school children from poor families who live in the hope that their children with grow up as an educated citizen.

How do you like this series?

I like this photo more than yesterday's. I think more careful composition in this one and in yesterday's would have elevated them as enduring portraits. I would also recommend getting down to the children's eye level. Also, although you refer to their underprivileged status, nothing in the photos makes me think of them as poor*, so as a series on poverty, I don't feel it works, but as a series on bright kids, I think it has potential.

*I'm not that familiar with Indian society and class differences, so perhaps I'm missing visual clues.

Kind of a Mona lisa effect. Is she smiling, smug, internally laughing, or about to bite! Thanks again for visiting my site.
