Lonavala - Monkey point!

Posted by Shuva Brata Deb (Bangalore, India) on 25 July 2006 in Plant & Nature.

I am back from my weekend vacation from Lonavala-Khandala. Its a hill-station located midway between Mumbai and Pune, and one of those places which you enjoy if you love the rain. Its flooded with beautiful waterfalls all around; visiting areas of tourist interest like this one, which is called the "Monkey Point". From the monkey point you can see the valley and the Pune Mumbai express way and its tunnels. It was a cold, rainy and densly foggy matter, but I managed to get some pictures.

Yes. So much green when everything turns yellow here.
This monkey is looking at the construction of the road ! It is a sign of more nuts and gifts from the tourists in the future to him !

I agree Madhu, the monkey off to the side give a really good perspective. This place looks amazing and I bet a welcome relief from the hot weather.
