Indian mythology is so large that my knowledge is not enough to identify the god/demon this guy is trying to depict. If anyone can enlighten me, it would be great.

CS2: Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to take interest off the busy bg(note that flash was used), apart from the usual photoshopping corrections (levels, sharpness, cropping, etc)

He is not the god nor the demon, but he is the devotee of godess Durga(Kali). They whip themselves to appease godess.
