This is the exit (and also the enterance) to the Taj Mahal. HDR gives this bad halo affect whereever there is a constrast. Any ideas?

This is a great composition (though on a slight angle). The HDR creates some amazing colour presentation. I'd be interested to see the photo without the HDR.

Great composition with the sleeping dogs. In this case what does the HDR really bring out except maybe the blue in the sky? I wonder if there is a way to tweak photomatix to better deal with halo. I bookmarked some articles but have not taken the time to read them yet. I think the best part about the HDR is not the increased tonal range but the effect on color during the toning process - I wonder if there is a way to achieve that painted effect strictly from photoshop without an HDR?

dude I am having the same problems with HDR, a very nice shot man. u can reduce its effects if u reduce the luminosity to -6 and increase the black and white clips

I love the composition on this one. Though frankly the HDR use here really let it down.
