Its from a Dabha kitchen (a country road side restaurant) where we had breakfast during our trip to Malle Thirtham via Watderapalli village.

This is a tandoor (indian oven). The food is cooked when the flames die and the col starts smoldering. Nice picture.

I would think some of the flame is to impress the tourists. It must be hard to get your hands near this pan.
