Lipika at Lotus PondPosted by Shuva Brata Deb (Bangalore, India) on 24 April 2006 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Hi Everybody. This week I am trying to sharpen my black and white skills, and get feedback of how things can be improved. Most of the pictures that inspried me to be a photographer were the B/Ws, most of them were the serious types, works of serious photographers, who always suceeded in passing the message though their work. Well, I am not trying to do that exactly, as my posts are rather non-serious types. But leave you valuable comments. My wife always accompanies me in most of my photo ventures, carrying my camera bag and the tripod. You get good people portraits when they are not posing for you---like this one.

You've inspired me with this to perhaps try to get away from colour at least part of the time. Beautiful tonal range, here, and an excellent composition.
