The benchPosted by Shuva Brata Deb (Bangalore, India) on 21 March 2006 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. Well, yesterday's post was a little over saturated like everybody said--thanks for the critique--- here is another HDR(only 3 shots combined) converted to B/W. Selective color desaturation/lightness was done to get the final image. This image also looks a little unreal. Would you agree?

Aaron Schmidt from Auckland, New ZealandWell the b&w effect definitely gets rid of the saturation problem. I still find the effect a little unreal ... perhaps due to the contrast in light. Still a very cool technique ... looking forward to more. 21 Mar 2006 5:29am àsìkò from United KingdomThis is very beautiful. i can't tell why I like it, but i really do, well done 21 Mar 2006 6:17am Amit from Singapore, SingaporeThis is a nice composition. Benches have always fascinated me and I often use then as my subject. I will be posting one of them tomorrow that I shot during my recent visit to Changi Boardwalk. 21 Mar 2006 6:36am Jide Alakija from London, United KingdomGreeat BW HDR attempt. I think the uneven cast of colours makes it somewhat unreal. 21 Mar 2006 7:45am Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumunreal yet pleasing as mentioned above. This one kind of reminds me of a Dali painting for some reason. 21 Mar 2006 8:01am Hervé from Paris, FranceThis is more than photography. These last pictures look unreal, but are more an artistic vision of the reality. 21 Mar 2006 8:46am suresh from Singapore, SingaporeIf the leaves or white, it is really an IR image. Sorry for the second posting. I missed few words. Just added now. 21 Mar 2006 3:07pm Ashish Sidapara from Singapore, SingaporeBeautiful shot Shuva. I second Suresh, it seems more of an IR image than an HDR, but very interesting result. 21 Mar 2006 3:32pm anagnorisis from MalaysiaIf there's a bench in the gargen of eden, it'll probably look like this! a real wonderful HDR! Im loving it! 21 Mar 2006 4:44pm samcam from Saint Louis, MO, United StatesGood one.. It seems like it had snowed partly on the image.. very well done.. 21 Mar 2006 8:11pm Steve Kravitz from Florence, NJ, United StatesI like it. It's the most striking diital b&w I've seen. Most digital b&w lacks real contrast. This has it all. 22 Mar 2006 2:29am Suby from MK, United KingdomNot a fan of HDR but nice shot. This could be done with the kaffafle and fakenes of HDR. Lovely lovely composition. 4 Apr 2006 7:41am Line from Chambly, CanadaThis is very beautiful. I like the black and white this picture. 13 Jul 2007 12:52am |
