They all wear electronic necklaces. It must anihilate their brain to stop them thinking and fleeing humans ! Break your necklaces ! Break your chains and go back to the rain forrest where you'll be free and happy !
Among the spiders, big snakes and scorpions, well, but free !

There's no reason to put them in jail, only because they eat humanbrains ! Humans did the same to the monkeys !

I'm reading a book right now and part of it takes place in a zoo (in India). There is a good chapter about how zoo animals like their surroundings - they feel safe and comfortable - get fed regularily etc - my summary is bad but the book tells it in a much more convincing way.

Great portrait!

@jodie and penny: Hi Jodie/Penny,

These monkeys are from the Atlanta Zoo. There were a few instructors explaining to visitors about the rarity of these species which I dont remember much. They were also pretty free as there will not in any cage, but playing around the trees. Thats why they have these electronic devices around their neck that would alarm the authorities if they wander away from the zoo campus.

As far as I know not all endangered species can be left free. It more or less becomes our responsibility to take care of them in captivity, make them breed , teach them to be independent, and once we have a few of them, take them and leave in the wild.

Here is the link to Atlanta Zoo.

If you want to help them, please read "Care Rare Animal Species"
